Present Simple Tense

How do we make the Present Simple Tense?

subject+auxiliary verb+main verb
  do base
There are three important exceptions:
  1. For positive sentences, we do not normally use the auxiliary.
  2. For the 3rd person singular (he, she, it), we add s to the main verb or es to the auxiliary.
  3. For the verb to be, we do not use an auxiliary, even for questions and negatives.
Look at these examples with the main verb like:
 subjectauxiliary verb main verb
+I, you, we, they
 likecoffee.
He, she, it
 likescoffee.
-I, you, we, theydonotlikecoffee.
He, she, itdoesnotlikecoffee.
?DoI, you, we, they likecoffee?
Doeshe, she, it likecoffee?
Look at these examples with the main verb be. Notice that there is no auxiliary:
 subjectmain verb
+Iam French.
You, we, theyare French.
He, she, itis French.
-Iamnotold.
You, we, theyarenotold.
He, she, itisnotold.
?AmI late?
Areyou, we, they late?
Ishe, she, it late?

How do we use the Present Simple Tense?

We use the present simple tense when:
  • the action is general
  • the action happens all the time, or habitually, in the past, present and future
  • the action is not only happening now
  • the statement is always true
John drives a taxi.
pastpresentfuture

It is John's job to drive a taxi. He does it every day. Past, present and future.
Look at these examples:
  • I live in New York.
  • The Moon goes round the Earth.
  • John drives a taxi.
  • He does not drive a bus.
  • We meet every Thursday.
  • We do not work at night.
  • Do you play football?
Note that with the verb to be, we can also use the present simple tense for situations that are not general. We can use the present simple tense to talk about now. Look at these examples of the verb "to be" in the present simple tense - some of them are general, some of them are now:
Am I right?
Tara is not at home.
You are happy.
pastpresentfuture

The situation is now.

I am not fat.
Why are you so beautiful?
Ram is tall.
pastpresentfuture

The situation is general. Past, present and future.

How to Recognize Student Behavior in the Age of ICT

There are much to be considered when implementing teaching learning activities in order to be effective. Among others, the delivery and the behavior of students. Actually in learning activity students should be able to create excitement in their study .But it  can not be denied that many students are reluctant to follow the lessons in class because the teacher is not attractive in delivering course material as well as not paying attention to the lesson that relevant .For example, teachers still use the lecture method. It only makes students are getting bored with lengthy explanations and not draw it. On the other hand, the students a hard time understanding the theory / concepts presented by the teacher. In additional it can make students increase their knowledge so that they can master the material being taught. In the era of ICT, student touch points already begun shifting students can fulfill curiosity through search engines, a lot of interesting information media beyond schooling and lifestyle. If friend first be obedient and subject students in learning activities in class this time could have been critical of his teacher if subjects deemed irrelevant explained by contemporary teachers let alone the

Just Know about Theory Without Practice, How does it look like?

It is a dilemma if a we have a high intellectuality, extensive knowledgeable without being accompanied by the presence of a practice or application of any such knowledge in everyday life. In a word pearl in saying "the science is not in implementing like a fruitless tree ". Such was the modality that is given to someone who can not practice in science possessed.

The futility of attempts have been made to find, prosecute and understand a science if it can not be applied in life. Because to seek to understand the science was not as easy back your hand, not as fast as lightning . But requires great effort and takes a long time. Studying it has systematic, ranging from knowing or learning the basics of the science, and then find out what the purpose of study, to understand what is the purpose of all that knowledge performance and whose sole purpose is no practice, the application or the application of science in everyday life days.

How poor people like this. It can also be compared to someone who has an umbrella, but the umbrella be used indoors only. Which should be in use umbrellas during rainy weather, or when the sun is so hot and tricks. Then the losers both in terms of material due to spend money to buy the umbrella and the umbrella does not make use of the function, and in the end that will be a natural regret people like this.

How to Make Student More Delligent to Study ?

Learning is an activity that aims to improve insight and education. Sure everyone has learned, even often, or perhaps already bored. Students are the most ppelajar, student elementary school, junior high school, and others. Well, the point is not that hard to learn the insights and knowledge students will not grow. How can the students to study hard??
You should first know what causes students to become unmotivated to learn, here is why:
-Students are more concerned with things that are more important at the moment it does not have to learn.
-Students should be confusion with something they learned, so can the say pretty stupid.
-Not a thing, or support to bolster the spirit of a student to learn at school or at home.
According to the observation that I do, a majority of students intend to learn if there is repetition, tests, and homework.

We need use blog in education

Through blog, we can can share opinions to each other and support each other with commentary and answers to questions in everytime and everywhere not just in the class . For example, like we are doing now. We share about our opinion why we should use blog.
If use effectively, blogs can create a learning environment that extend beyond the schoolyard.
Additionally, blogs give students ownership over their own learning and an authentic voice, allowing them to articulate their needs and inform their own learning. Blogs have been shown to contribute to identity-formation in students. (Bortree, D.S., 2005).
It also can increase the students' motivation to do their best work. It is excellent opportunities for students to read and write.Blog is effective forums for collaboration because blogs provide a space where teachers and students can work to further develop writing or other skills with the advantage of an instant audience. Teachers can offer instructional tips, and students can practice and benefit from peer review. They also make online mentoring possible. For example, a class of older students can help a class of younger students develop more confidence in their writing skills. Students can also participate in cooperative learning activities that require them to relay research findings, ideas, or suggestions.
